Our Team
Within our team of 13 members, we are organized into 5 generalized groups working close together while still being independent in our own work. Our three technical cohorts are the Build Team, Design Team, and the Software Team. Our two operation cohorts are the Outreach team and the Business Team. Although members are in a certain cohort they are not limited to that skill area, members may work closely with other cohorts but specialize in one.
Leo Sun
Hi, I am a senior at Del Norte High School in San Diego, California. I started FTC Team Scorpio and have been the team captain since 2018. One of my hobbies is playing soccer, which I have played since I was 10. As a part of the team, I work on software and manage the team. Our Team Scorpio meetings are the highlight of my week!
Zach Vogelsang
Hello, I’m a senior at Del Norte High School. I’ve been a member of the team since we began in 2018. This year, I’m planning to contribute more to the team by learning a CAD program called Onshape. Some of my hobbies include 3D animation/printing, as well as biking.
Rachit Jaiswal
Hi, I am a junior at Del Norte High School in San Diego, California. I joined FTC Team Scorpio in 2019. My hobbies include programming, 3D printing, cyber security, and sports like Water Polo and Tennis. As a part of the team, I work on the software of the robot and I manage the back end of the team’s website.
Emma Shen
Hi! I’m a senior at Del Norte High School. After doing FLL for 3 years, I joined FTC Team Scorpio last year and love to help organize outreach events in our community and code for our robot. My favorite classes in school are computer science and math. In my free time, I love to play tennis, read fiction novels and hike in pretty places.
Kaiden Do
I am a senior at Del Norte High School. My hobbies are watching football and playing with my dog. This year is my third year in FTC Team Scorpio. Joining the FIRST team has been a great opportunity for me to learn engineering, which is the career I aim to pursue in the future!
Kalani Cabral-Omana
I’m a senior at Del Norte High School. This is my second year with FTC Team Scorpio as well as with FTC. I enjoy the beach, surfing, and playing soccer. I love working with this group of amazing people and hope to learn a lot from each and every one of them, this FTC season. I help design our robot, CAD and design our website.
David Vasilev
I’m a senior at DNHS. This is my 2nd year with Scorpio Robotics and FTC. I really like the building and design challenges that FTC gives me. In addition to robotics, I do Science Olympiad and photograph nature. I would like to go into aerospace engineering or physics in the future. Science is very fun and interesting!

Hello! I’m a senior at Del Norte High School. This is my 2nd year with Team Scorpio and I currently work with community outreach and building. My hobbies include reading, playing my flute, and buying boba. I love science, specifically biology. Joining FTC Team Scorpio has been a great opportunity for me to learn teamwork and engineering

I’m a senior at Del Norte High School. This is my 3rd year with Team Scorpio Robotics as well as my second year in FTC. I really like the building and driving/operating challenges that FTC gives me. In addition to robotics, I play for my school football team and Boy Scouts. I would like to go into aeronautical engineering in the future and I believe that FTC will help me take that step into my future career.

Hey! I’m a senior at Del Norte High School. This is my 2nd year with Team Scorpio and I currently work with community outreach and building. My hobbies include playing the flute and listening to music. I love math. Joining FTC Team Scorpio has been a great opportunity for me to gain experience in teamwork and engineering.

Hello, I’m a senior at Del Norte High School. This is my second year with Team Scorpio and my third year competing in FIRST Competitions. Some of my hobbies include playing instruments, producing music, and fencing. I really enjoy FTC because I can learn a lot about computer science and engineering.

I am a senior at Del Norte High School. This is my second year as a member of FTC Scorpio. My favorite school subject is math. One of my hobbies is playing football. I have really enjoyed my time as a member of the club and am looking forward to this year!

I’m a senior at Del Norte High School. This is my second year with FTC Team Scorpio, and my second at Del Norte. I enjoy sports, tech, and traveling. Working with this group of people looks to be a great experience and I hope to learn a lot from my experiences this coming year.
